House Damark. Where to start. The House of Damark was founded by Lord William Damark so long ago its date has been forgotten by all but one. And he is not going to tell you. So don't bother asking. Now House Damark is directly related to the House of Nightskye. The Royal house of Mysthia. Lord William happens to be the Queen's Uncle, friend and one of her closest advisors. He stands in the rank of the kingdom as should, god's forbid. Something happen to Queen Alexandria, as the next in line for the throne. He is also the Crowned Emperor of Argonia. Now most people looking at this would wonder why is it that Lord William has never made preludes to taking the throne. Well that's a simple thing. He prefers to work as an advisor rather than as the ruler. He relishes in his freedom to go about doing whatever it is that he finds to do at the time, and not be bogged down by the requirements as the nations administrator. On several occasions he has acted in such a fashion during the times the Queen has taken a vacation from the rigors of rulership, or in the occasion she has been incapacitated and incapable of rulership. A truly rare occurrence. But enough of the matter of William as more information is detailed in the members section. Now if you have been invited to join into the house, through the blood ritual or are indeed a newly discovered relative. We do have a few rules of conduct, most all of them are rather Common sense in nature. But some do need writing down. 1. House Damark is a Royal household, and as such you are expected to act in a manner in accordance to the highest level of nobility, and your station within the house. Regardless if you are a hired servant, or Williams brother. 2. Hirelings: For those employed directly by the house for whatever position you hold, be it chamber maid to cook, to doorkeeper. It does not matter. You will show respect to all both above and below your station. And as such all above or below your station shall reciprocate. Should there be a problem with another failing to adhere to these by-laws. You should take it up with Either Lord William or Lady Mila. Now folks we all know there will be some minor personality clashes that will happen, we will expect you to try and work things out on your own but should this fail, or is beyond a minor problem then take it up to William or Cara. 3. Household Knights: You will be expected to uphold the rules and laws of the chivalrous code. As well as maintain the security of the Manor, as well as in the time of need uphold the security of the castle and its denizens. You will also be expected to maintain you training through spar, and drill as necessary to keep the body and mind sharp. We do not expect you to dedicate all of your free time to this pursuit as such would be ludicrous. But you will be expected to show effort and practice of such. And the amount of work you must show is entirely dependent on your level of experience, and skills. New house knights and or squires will be expected to train harder, longer, and more often, than those who have had their spurs for some time. This is done in order to bring your skills up to par with the rest of the Knights. Personal conflicts with others shall be resolved either between you and the other party. Or, in the case of such conflicts that are beyond a minor personality conflict, shall be brought up to either Lord William or Lady Cara. 4. Household Magi: You will be expected to follow the rules of conduct befitting of a Royal Mage. Any violation or abuse of powers will result in you immediate stripping from the house ledger, and may proceed into further punitive actions. You shall abide by the codes of chivalry to a point, in that you shall show respect to those both above and below your station. And as such they will reciprocate said respect. You will be expected to lend magical aid to the house and Kingdom as required for its continued safety, and security. You will be expected to maintain your research and studies into the magical arts. The amount necessary shall be based on your current mastery of the arts. Younger, inexperienced magi, will be expected to dedicate more time in research and study, than those of higher levels of mastery. Personal conflicts with others shall be resolved either between you and the other party. Or, in the case of such conflicts that are beyond a minor personality conflict, shall be brought up to either Lord William or Lady Cara. 5. Household soldiers: You will be expected to uphold the rules and laws of the chivalrous code. As well as maintain the security of the Manor, as well as in the time of need uphold the security of the Castle and its denizens. You will also be expected to maintain your training through spar, and drill as necessary to keep the body and mind sharp. We do not expect you to dedicate all of your free time to this pursuit as such would be ludicrous. But you will be expected to show effort and practice of such. And the amount of work you must show is entirely dependent on your level of experience, and skills. New house soldiers will be expected to train harder, longer, and more often, than those who have been soldiers for some time. This is done in order to bring your skills up to par with the rest of the unit. Personal conflicts with others shall be resolved either between you and the other party. Or, in the case of such conflicts that are beyond a minor personality conflict, shall be brought up to either Lord William or Lady Cara. 6. If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints of the by-laws or anything else for that manner. You shall contact Lord William or Lady Cara, or whatever source you need speak to, to clarify the matter. 7. You will be expected to have fun, and enjoy yourself. Should you find yourself not following this rule. You will be expected to contact Lord William, Lady Cara, or any other source needed to find a remedy for failure to follow this most important rule. 8. Thank you and have a nice day. |
